Appraisal form for governance professionals
Prepare for your annual appraisal meeting and track progress throughout the year.
All governance professionals should have an annual appraisal meeting. This will likely be carried out by the chair or the relevant line manager, with input from the governing board.
The appraisal process should support the governance professional to increase their effectiveness and undertake relevant professional development, as well as providing opportunities to discuss working relationships, issues to address and, where appropriate, pay and remuneration.
Our appraisal and development form should help governance professionals at all levels to prepare for the annual appraisal meeting and to track their progress throughout the year. It includes:
- advice on the appraisal process and discussing pay
- self-evaluation prompts
- a template to document objectives and record progress made
